DICKIN MEMORIAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL & BINGHAMTON SENATORS PARTNER FOR THIRD ANNUAL “PUCKS 4 PAWS”
JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. – Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital has partnered with the Binghamton Senators hockey club in their fourth annual effort to assist the Southern Tier pet population, dubbed “Pucks 4 Paws”. This year’s campaign features a special online fundraising campaign, a Facebook photo contest and culminates on Friday, April 10 - Pucks for Paws Night as the B-Sens host the Albany Devils.
As a thank you for the continued support, fans who make a certain minimum donation will have their choice of gift. Those making a $25 donation will have their choice between a pet paw shaped magnet clip or paw print car magnet. Those who make a $50 donation will have their choice between a water bottle or bag dispensing leash clip. All gifts bear the Pucks 4 Paws logo. (There are limited quantities of the gifts – available while they last).
To obtain their gift, those making a donation are asked to print their donation confirmation or open it on their smart phone and show it to a member of the Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital staff at the Pucks 4 Paws table at the B-Sens game on Friday, April 10 or at Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital, 716 Harry L Drive in Johnson City, beginning Monday, April 13.
B-Sens fans are also encouraged to like the Pucks 4 Paws Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pucks4paws) and to enter this year’s Pucks 4 Paws photo contest. To enter, post a picture with your pet that showcases your love (or their love) of the Binghamton Senators on the Pucks 4 Paws Facebook page wall. Get decked out in your B-Sens gear and pose with your favorite four legged friend, or perhaps your “fur baby” has their own B-Sens gear to sport for the photo. Have fun and be creative! The best photos will be shown on the video board at the B-Sens game April 10. The staff at Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital will choose the best photo and that person will win a special prize pack.
Fans in attendance of the B-Sens game on April 10 are encouraged to visit the Pucks 4 Paws table on the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena concourse. There will be special dog and cat themed pet gift baskets that will be raffled off. The staff from Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital will also be on hand collecting donations for the shelters. Fans are encouraged to bring a donation of laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags or cleaning supplies. Those that make a donation of at least two items will receive a free Pucks 4 Paws lanyard (limited to the first 150 fans).
As part of Pucks 4 Paws night Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital and the Binghamton Senators will welcome a number of area organizations to the concourse including Every Dog’s Dream Adoption Center, Spring to Freedom Golden Retriever Rescue and Front Street Dog Shelter.
All proceeds will benefit the Animal Care Council, Broome County Humane Society, Front Street Dog Shelter, Project P.A.W. and Stray Haven/ASPCA in Waverly.
Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital and the B-Sens together have raised over $15,000 through their efforts over the past three hockey seasons. Their hope is raise an additional $5,000 this season for the shelters.
“Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital is so proud to have the continued support of the Binghamton Senators organization. Our partnership with the team has not only brought awareness to this great cause, but enabled us to provide the area shelters with much needed support,” explained Dr. Alison Beaulieu, owner of Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital.
“While raising money and collecting donations are important in helping these shelters, volunteering your time is equally as important. We encourage Pucks 4 Paws supporters to donate their time and lend a helping hand where possible. We also would like to thank the community for embracing this cause and for their continued generosity.”
