Welcome to the

Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital Where Pets Come First!

Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital

Welcome to the Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital, where we believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals. Our hospital is led by Dr. Beaulieu and our philosophy is driven by the legacy of Maria Dickin, who fought for the recognition of animal contribution to humanity and established the PDSA Dickin Medal to honor animals’ gallantry and valiant efforts in times of war and disaster.
Maria Dickin believed that all animals, regardless of size or species, deserve the best possible care, and we do, too.

Pet Insurances

Pet insurance covers veterinary treatment expenses for a pet that has fallen ill or been injured.

Our Vision

Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital will be a vet referral practice to meet the expanding medical needs of our patients without leaving the Southern Tier area. Dickin Memorial pet service will be a center of educational information for the community regarding animal health issues including zoonotic disease and bioterrorism. Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital will work with community organizations (disaster relief, SOS, havens) to help in times of need. Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital will do its part to maintain open communication with fellow veterinarians and maintain the integrity of the veterinary profession.

Our Love for Rescue Cats and Underdogs

At the Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital, we have a special place in our hearts for rescue cats and underdogs. Dr. Beaulieu’s spirit animal is anything with “rescue” in front of it, but she has a soft spot for cats and underdogs. Her vote for the underdog is rooted in her blood, and she believes that every animal deserves a chance to thrive.

Our Values

Our Hospital: A Sanctuary for Cats and Dogs

Our mission is to provide quality pet care and rescue services to cats and dogs, especially those who are often overlooked – the underdogs. Through our efforts, Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital is a sanctuary for all.

Took my rescue Ranger in for nail clipping. He doesn't like strangers and doesn't like his nails touched. But, 3 vet assistants and us, managed to get job done. Was painful to watch pup unhappy, but they did fantastic job. So very pleased with dickin memorial animal hospital.

Tried to save a old starving cat that ended up passing away 3 days later. Everybody at Dickin Memorial was very helpful and understanding, and it made this painful event much easier to bare. If you have a pet that is loved, take it here for medical care.

I went to Dickens for the first time today with our 13 yr old & 5 yr old doggies for a vet appt. The waiting room was beautiful, Visit rooms were huge, staff we’re all very nice & Vet was incredible & non-judgmental! The best part was having cuddlebugs right next door to perform a quick nail trim as soon as we were done with the appt! I could not recommend more! Will not be going back to previous Vet & wish I had switched sooner!

This veterinary clinic provided immediate care for our cat, who had been treated at Cornell five weeks ago for a urinary blockage. Their prompt attention may have saved his life. We highly recommend this vet!
