Even with all the tender love and care you give your pet, sometimes your pet needs attention from a medical specialist – their veterinarian. We want to keep your pet in the best of health possible, whether that means providing preventative or emergency care, surgery, or help through an illness. We are here to meet your pet’s needs.
Small Animals
Small animals are the focus here at our hospital, especially dogs and cats. Other furry animals are welcome too (hamsters and rabbits for example). We have state of the art equipment to treat your pet’s needs, including digital radiography, an ICU unit, and 24 hour monitoring via web cam in all of our wards. This allows us to treat your companion pets with the highest quality standard you would want them to be treated with.
Dickin Memorial offers options for each pet owner: referrals to various professionals, aggressive or conservative therapies, and payment methods.
Our doctors will be glad to respond personally to any questions you may have and will do so in a timely manner.
Preventative Care
You want your pet to live a long, happy and healthy life. So do we. Much of our focus is on preventative care, such as regular check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, nutrition and parasite control. Prevention is the best medicine in humans and animals.
We can recommend products to control internal/external parasites and help you understand the signs that your per may be infected. We can also instruct you in home dental care for your pet. Having your pet checked regularly will enhance your pet’s quality of life.
Emergency Care
If your pet has an emergency, please call us at (607) 217-5202, no matter what time – day or night. We will respond right away, whether in an emergency appointment, or a referral.
We are prepared to handle your pet’s emergency with a compassionate and knowledgeable staff, digital radiography, an ICU unit and more.
Illness
When your pet is sick, you want them to get treatment right away. We will work to give you choices on the recommended procedures for your pet, making sure the treatment is right for them. We will always be glad to discuss cost or give you a written estimated cost of any procedures. We want your pet to receive the necessary treatment, without you having concern for the financial aspect of it. Please, talk to us of your concerns, and we can work out a payment option that will work for the both of us.
Surgery
If your pet needs surgery, we are prepared to do our best for them. We have state of the art equipment to provide for your pet’s operation. We also have accommodations for overnight stays, as well as 24 hour monitoring via web cam.
We will always be glad to discuss cost or give you a written estimated cost of any procedures.
